2026 Dive Meet Schedule (To Be Finalized)

June

Saturday 5/30 – Coaches Training @ Severn River at 9:30 – 10:45 AM (All coaches must attend)
Monday 6/1 – Dive Team Parents Meeting @ 5 PM (between the first and second practices)
Sunday 6/7 – Judge and Referee Training @ Padonia starting at 9 AM
Tuesday 6/9 – Judge and Referee Training @ St. Andrews at 6:30 PM
Friday 6/12 – Team Pictures and Pep Rally (with Swim Team) – starting at 4 PM
Saturday 6/20 – Judge and Referee Training @ Dulaney Swim Club at 9 AM
Wednesday 6/17 – Black & Blue meet during Practice; All Divers arrive for first practice
Tuesday 6/23 – Dive Meet #1: starting at 5 PM
Thursday 6/25 – Dive Meet #2: starting at 5 PM
Tuesday 6/30 – Dive Meet #3: starting at 5 PM

July

Thursday 7/2 – Dive Meet #4: starting at 5 PM
Tuesday 7/7– Dive Meet #5: starting at 5 PM
Thursday 7/9 – Dive Meet #6: starting at 5 PM
Sunday 7/12 – Dunleavy Novice Meet: Red Division @ NSJ starting at 8 AM
Tuesday 7/15 – Makeup Dive Meet #1 (only if needed)
Thursday 7/17 – Makeup Dive Meet #2 (only if needed)
Sunday 7/19 – CMDL Championships @ West Howard
Monday 7/20 – Dive Team Banquet (NSJ Main Pavilion) starting at 5 PM
Wednesday 7/22 – Synchro Meet @ Loyola-Blakefield starting at 4 PM (optional meet)

Note:

The exact meet start and warm-up times will be communicated before the meet.
Dive meets may change due to team conflicts or weather.

Dive Meet Structure

Diving Age Groups:

All age groups have 2 groups – one for girls and one for boys.
- 6 and under
- 8 and under
- 9 / 10
- 11/12
- 13/14
- 15 and up
During the actual dive meet, depending on the number of divers for each age group, age groups may be combined.

Warm Ups:

Warm Ups for the home team begin 2 hours before the meet to give the visiting team time to warm up.
Warm up time for away meets are usually 1 hour before the meet. The exact the time will be communicated.
Warm up time is allocated between the first and second session for the older divers.

Intermission:

The meets are divided by age groups with the younger divers starting first and the older divers after intermission.
There is an intermission halfway through the meet to hand out the ribbons to the younger divers,
During the intermission the older divers warm up.

Attendees:

Please note, we try to accomodate all divers schedules, so if you have a conflict, please let us know!
Many first session divers leave after they receive their ribbon.
All members and families are welcome and encouraged to attend the entire meet!

Concessions:

At home meets, concessions is available during the first half of the meet through intermission.
At away meets, concessions is usually available.
We recommend packing snacks and beverages to have on hand.

Dive Meet FAQs

Diving Age Groups:

All age groups have 2 groups – one for girls and one for boys.

- 8 and under
- 9 / 10
- 11/12
- 13/14
- 15 and up

Dive Categories:

Front dive (any position)
Back dive (any position)
Inward dive (any position)
Reverse dive (any position)
Twister dives

Qualifying Scores:

Jumps and line-ups are not considered a category and can not qualify a diver for Championships.
Divers are encouraged to compete dives they have practiced.
During a dive meet, we highly recommend that divers do not change their dives once a dive sheet is submitted.

Dunleavy Novice Meet:

This is a really fun meet that encourages all divers to enjoy the sport!
Any diver can attend the Dunleavy Novice Meet as long as they do not have 3 qualifying scores from prior meets.

Championship Meet:

This meet is for more competitive divers.
To attend this meet, a diver must meet the score qualifications during at least 3 of the scheduled prior meets.
- There are qualifying scores for each age group that a diver needs to obtain in order to qualify for Championships.
- A variety of dives are required over multiple categories to qualify for Championships.
The five dive categories listed above, along with qualifying scores, will be explained to the divers.
Only dives (not jumps or line-ups) can qualify a diver for Championships.
